I first met Madeleine L'Engle in the book "A Wrinkle in Time." It caught my attention and spoke to me in deep ways. I later purchased each of these books individually, then purchased the complete set for my sister as a gift.

Of all of them, I think Many Waters is my favorite, perhaps because of its relationship to Noah's Ark.

Like CS Lewis, Madeleine L'Engle helps us to look at our world in different ways. Not Biblical, but spiritual. Deep inside of these books is a context and content that will help us see God as bigger than we had ever considered.

Recommended for those with imagination.

The books were in relatively good condition. I did find a piece of masking tape on the box, which I assumed was covering up a tear, but it was fine. The tape just seemed to be there.
Appeared to be a great hit. I see my daughter reading through each one and not being able to put them down once she has started them.
One of my favorite series.
Bought this whole set for me because I loved it when I read A Wrinkle In Time for the first time. Now I am on a journey through the rest of the series. Was nice to have the whole set.
My daughter is excited to read these books.The came to me as a recommendation from a friend, and she advised these would help my daughter with her vocubulary and fluency.
Although it's been thirty-plus years since I first checked it out of the elementary school library, I still re-read A Wrinkle in Time at least once a year. And every time I read it, I feel the same sense of anticipation and excitement that I felt when opening it for the first time - reading the first few paragraphs and knowing in my gut that I wouldn't be doing anything else until I had finished it. In addition to being a "ripping good yarn," the book features the triumph of good over evil - along with some fairly sophisticated theological reasoning - strong and wise female characters (who don't all look like Angelina Jolie!), messages that different isn't neccessarily bad, and the dawning of adult consciousness and individual responsibility in the consciousness of its main protagonist, Meg Murry. Along witih its sequels, it's a lifetime favorite. And like all the best children's books, it's got a lot to say to adults, too. A must-read for the literate.
